Rochester Mayo High School Athletics

Hello everyone!!

Last week was amazing; it was awesome to see the divers compete (twice!) and the swimmers showed a lot of grit and tenacity. I would say most of the team is fighting some kind of sickness, but the positivity I saw while they managed it all was really wonderful. Nice job!!

This week is going to be a little crazy, so here we go!!!

Monday – Combined practice. We will be done at 5:30pm

Tuesday – Combined practice. We will be done at 5:30pm then have a pasta feed at Madeline Gau’s house. Details below:

• The Gau family is excited to host the pasta feed after practice on Tuesday, September 16th!
• We live on a hobby farm (in the city!) just 2.5 miles from Mayo High School. Our address is:702 23rd Street SW.
• Parking considerations:
  • We have a long circular driveway – you may park on the grass on either side.
  • Please keep the circle open so parents can drive up, drop off their swimmer(s), and exit easily.
  • Additional parking is available on the north side of 23rd Street.
• The party will be on the pool deck and back patio located on the south side of our house. Just follow the balloons around back!
• If your swimmer has any food allergies, please let me know by Monday at noon so we can be sure to make accommodations. You can email me at tiffanyprow@charter.net or text me at 507-261-8649.

Wednesday – Green and Gold meet  - we will be done around 5:00pm. 

Thursday – meet against Century. Swimmers need to be there at 4:30pm. The meet starts at 6:00pm. Please come, wear your yellow and green, and show your support!!

Friday – the parade. Details from Kaleigh below: 

• The homecoming parade will be held on September 19^th starting at 4:15pm. It will move from across the fairgrounds down 16^th street to Mayo High School. We are not allowed to use the fairgrounds this year due to construction. We will be staging across from the fairgrounds in the gravel pad circled in red. As secondary staging areas we may use 1^st ave and 2^nd ave as well if needed (circled in red). There will be minimal parking!!! Please have students walk from Mayo High School to the staging location and meet the floats there. Please be ready to go by 4:00pm.

  • If you make posters ahead of time, Angela White can decorate the float ahead of time.
