This week October 19-25, 2025
Hello everyone!
1.I am sad that this is the last week with our JV swimmers. This group has been amazing – hardworking, versatile and very sweet and enjoyable. I will miss them.
2.Tomorrow the JV swimmers will fill out secret swimmer forms and get their secret swimmers. They will buy a gift worth no more than $20 for their secret swimmer for the meet on Saturday. If JV swimmers want to leave a note for their secret swimmer every day this week, that would be fun. I will explain more at the team meeting tomorrow.
3.Varsity swimmers will do something similar after the Big 9 Conference meet for the Section meet.
4.Schedule for the week:
Monday – normal practice with a long important team meeting. Varsity 3:45, JV 5:15
Tuesday - COMBINED PRACTICE until 5:30pm, followed by a pasta feed hosted by the Hill’s Details below:

5.Details for Saturday’s meets:
JV Meet
- Swimmers should be at the Rec Center at 7:50am to exchange gifts
- Warmups start at 8:30am. We are in Lane 2 in the shallow end
- The meet starts at 9:30am

- I will need one timer for this meet. Please let me know if you can do it as soon as possible.
Varsity Meet
- Diving will be held at Northfield Middle School at 5:30pm on Friday, October 24. Here is the livestream link https://www.youtube.com/@NorthfieldSwim. I also follow diving on a website called Clean Entries.
- The swimming portion is on Saturday, October 25
- Swimmers should be there in time to warm up at 1:00-1:40pm. We have Lane 2 in the deep and shallow pool for that time. One way sprints are from 2:20 – 3:00pm
- The swimming competition starts at 3:00pm.

Next week, after the Big 9 Conference, we will start taper for the Section team. No one can miss any taper practices. That first day we will talk a lot about this process, and many other things. Practices will run until 5:30ish and will get shorter as the time goes. For those of you that are new, please ask all the questions that you need.
