In 2020, Dr. Charles Abboud retired from the Mayo Boys Soccer program. He founded our program and served as its head coach for 34 years. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to hold an event in his honor.
Before our game on September 27, we will be dedicating the south end of our stadium in his honor. As a part of this, we would like to gather memories, notes of gratitude, and/or pictures from former players, coaches, athlete's parents, referees, etc. to present to him in a book. We are gathering these wishes/memories through the website linked below. If you would like to contribute a message to Dr. Abboud, please do so. In your message, please remember to include the years you were a part of the program, if applicable.
The link will close on September 25th.

The 2022 tryouts will begin on Monday, August 15, and run through Wednesday, August 17. It may not take all 3 days to organize the team; changes to the schedule will be posted in the Band. Times and locations are as follows:

The B-/C-Squad session should be attended by all players in grades 8-10, unless they have been invited/are eligible to attend the Varsity/JV session.
Players are expected to attend all of their appropriate sessions on each of the 3 days. If it is not possible for you to attend or participate, you must contact Coach Jennings before tryouts begin.
Finally, we plan to have a separate goalkeeper session on Monday at the Mayo tennis court fields from 6:30 - 7 PM. Anyone interested in playing as a keeper should plan to attend that session IN ADDITION to the other sessions described above. B-/C-Squad candidates should let the coaches know of their interest before their other session starts and we will make sure they are excused in time.
Players are expected to wear shin guards to all tryouts, practices, and games. Shin guards must be have the NOCSAE seal on them and be appropriately sized for your height.
If you are new to high school soccer but already have a pair of shin guards, make sure they have this seal on them. If they do not, you must buy a new pair.
If you are buying a new pair, make sure they have they have the NOCSAE seal on them.
