Due to Covid19/Corona Virus, and now summer break I am not currently in the office.  I can be reached by either my email at roerickson@rochester.k12.mn.us  I will be returning to the office around July 30th and then I will get back to you as soon as I can.

FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION (7/1/20)

The fall registration link for FALL SPORTS  ONLY (not Activities) can be found on the left.  Please just click the green "online fall  reg" tab.  It will take you to the link to register.  REMINDER, you will need to have a current and up to date physical on file in the Athletic Office with Robin in order to be able to register.

DEPARTMENT UPDATES:      6/25/2020

SAQ STUDENTS MUST FOLLOW COVID 19 GUIDELINES for grades 9 - 12:

  • Parent/Guardian will check the students temperature on a daily basis before attending an practice, camp or scrimmage.
  • If a students is ill, he/she MUST stay home!

Examples: (cough, fever, fatigue, chills, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, nasal congestion or difficult breathing)

  • Bring your own water bottle (no drinking fountains available on campus)
  • No access to locker rooms or restrooms.
  • Students will be placed in Pods/Groups, once assigned to a Pod/Group he/she cannot change groups
  • S.A.Q. sessions are 60 minutes in length (times are: 7:00, 8:15, 9:30, 10:45 am) students should consider registering for the same time slot as friends or teammates.
  • S.A.Q. workouts are FOUR days a week starting July 6 and ending August 14 
  • Wear a mask when not doing aerobics activities
  • Adhere to Minnesota Department of Health social distancing requirements
  • Understand the guidelines may change on a daily or weekly basis.

(6/9/20) IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING PHYSICALS (For more info click on the "Sports Physical link Info" listed below )

PHYSICALS…..ATTENTION 2020-21 ATHLETES:  Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine WILL NOT be hosting a physical date this summer.  Please plan to schedule with your regular doctor OR Med Express.  Please take the MSHSL physical form with you.  Physical form can be found on your high school’s website (left hand side Tab FORMS).

    Physical form paperwork needs to be filled out PRIOR to attending
No appointment necessary - NEED A PARENT WITH YOU

Once you get your physical done, please email it to Robin in the Athletic/Activities Office at your high school BEFORE you will be allowed to register online.  (roerickson@rochester.k12.mn.us)

Physicals need to be current for the ENTIRE Fall Season in order to participate.

CONCUSSION TESTING

Concussion testing with Dan, our team athletic trainer, will be conducting concussion testing once practices start in August for those that are registering for Football and boys and girls soccer.   

Please continue to watch this site for further information or communicate with your coach.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT AT ATHLETIC EVENTS

Dismissal Time

  • Players are dismissed 15 minutes prior to the bus departure time.
  • All players need to have their equipment at school ready to leave for the event. 
  • They will not be excused to run home and get their gear.
  • Middle School Students must be dismissed with a parent note at the Middle School Attendance Office.
  • Students serving a penalty for a violation should not be dismissed from school to attend away events.

Directions for finding physical date on Skyward

Sign on to skyward family access and look under the "Report Card & Portfolio" tab on left hand side of screen. This will be listed with all of the testing results and report cards.

You will need to have a copy of your physical in the Activities Office BEFORE you can register online.  The new system will not let you register without this.
