Rochester Mayo High School Athletics

Thanks to all the players, parents, and coaches for an incredible season. Three time Team State Champion, 76 match winning streak, and finishing individuals with first second, and third place finishes. WOW!!!!

I hope everyone had a ton of fun and let's do this again next year. It takes a commitment of hard work by the whole team to make this possible. Let's outwork the rest of the state again this off-season.

Wow, it's already time for the girls season to start. Here is some important information that you will need to know.

Current Schedule:

Varsity(Top 10) and JV(Next 10)-3:45-5:40

 BSquad- 5:30-7:00

*We will have a PAC(Parents, Athletes, and Coaches) Meeting on August 25 at 7:00pm(Mayo Cafeteria). 

*We DO NOT CUT. We are expecting 45-50 players this year. 

*The best players play regardless of age. At Mayo, we do not play favorites or who is the oldest. If a younger player is better, they play ahead of the older player. 

*The schedule is up to date and is on Big9.org under Mayo Girls Tennis. 

*Please bring plenty of water to each practice

*The first week will be match play week meaning you will play matches against other players on the team. This will give an idea to the coaches where you are at via skill level. The most important criteria is how you do against other teams in our matches. 

We will have tons of fun this year and hopefully many more memories made. See you this Monday, Coach Demaray 

d paulson Photography will be doing our team photos again this year and it will be online with the same ordering process as last year.  You will be able to view the photos before ordering and order at your convenience online or on your phone.  In addition, photos will be delivered directly to your home.

2025 MAYO DOUBLES CAMP

Camp Philosophy: This camp is a great opportunity for any CURRENT or FUTURE(Going into 5th-12th Grade) Mayo Tennis Player(Boys or Girls) to improve their Doubles skills.

Camp Information: The camp will touch on all phases of the game of tennis, but a special emphasis will be given to the development of Doubles strategy and positioning. This camp is for most levels, including top varsity players to  intermediate players. This is not open to beginners or advanced beginners due to the fact that rallies need to take place in order to focus on doubles positioning.  Just want to emphasize that there will be drills that will help the very top varsity players as well as the B-Squad.   To reserve your spot, you must retain your sign-up sheet with your payment. All the current Mayo Boys and Girls players are above the advanced beginner level and are able to participate. 

Dates and Times: The tennis camp will run for 7 weeks and will start June 9th. The camp will meet Monday through Thursday. Fridays are make-up days in case of rain.(*see below). 3:45-5:45pm at the Mayo High School Courts.

***Please bring your own water this year. I will NOT be bringing water for everybody to drink.

If it rains during the week, an extra day will be added on Friday. If it rains more than once during the week, I will stay until 6:30pm on Friday or we will add an hour during the week. The last week must be done by July 31. 

There is a limit of 28 players per week due to court space.
