A note from Dr Abboud
Hello everyone.
Four things which need your attention.
1. You need to complete your registration by Monday August 5. For those who have
not done it as yet, get going.
2. A note from our Athletic Trainer, Mr Dan Christoffer: “Please pass this on to your
athletes ASAP. If they did not do the concussion testing in May they need to do it
yet. The date for testing will be Thursday August 8th

at 7 am. Testing will be done

at the library again.’”
3. A note from our Athletic Office: “Can you please pass this along to anyone that
you know of that might be in need of a fast/cheap (I believe it might even be
free) physical. Registration should be closing on Monday, so if they need one,
this would be the place to go. I received the attached flyer from Community
Health Services. I have worked closely with them the last couple of years. They
do great work for many of our students and families that have a difficult time with
medical care. It is

A NOTE FROM DR ABBOUD regarding the 2019 Mayo SOCCER TRYOUTS.

Our tryouts will start on MONDAY, August 12, 2019

BEFORE THE TRYOUTS
1. We believe that Mayo High School Soccer, like all other Mayo athletic activities, is an EDUCATIONAL experience which requires dedication, focus and hard work. Mayo soccer is not recreational soccer.
Those who intend to participate in the tryouts for our program should be able to say YES to all the following commitments:
“a. I will have two priorities this coming fall. I am a student athlete and my priorities are my high school academic activities and my soccer. I will give my best to my priorities. I know that I cannot participate in soccer activities if I shirk my responsibilities for my academic progress.
b. I understand the needs of attendance at practices and games. Barring an unforeseen health/family emergency, I plan to be there at all practices and games. I will rearrange my other commitments so that they will not interfere with my attendance

2019 Boys Soccer Camps
Hello everyone. Hope that you have enjoyed your spring break, that you are enjoying the warm days of spring in Rochester after that seemingly long and brutal winter, and that you are anticipating success as you enter the last stretch of the 2018-2019 school year.

We will soon be embarking on our boys soccer summer camps. I want to share with you my plans for the camps and ask you to provide me with some information which will help me in the planning of the camp activities.

This summer, we will be holding two week-long camps. The first will be in the June 24-28 week, and the second in the July 8-12 week. In these two weeks, the daily camp activities will be between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. All camp activities will be held at the Mayo High School Stadium. The two camps will be for athletes in the 8th to 12th grades in the upcoming school year, ie the 2019-2020 school year.

My plan is to have three sessions in each morning lasting about 90

Hello Spartans Summer Camps Registrants

Hope that you are doing well and are anticipating evidence of success as you approach the end of your second school quarter.

Spring is in the air and soon we will be embarking on our summer camps. I wanted to share with you my plans for the camps and ask you for some important information which will help me in the planning of camp activities.

We will be holding our camp activities in the mornings between 8:00 am and noon time. My plan is to have three sessions in each morning: one for defenders, one for midfielders and one for strikers. Goalkeepers will be assigned with the defenders in the first camp, and with the strikers in the second camp.

To help me with camp organization, I want to know from you as soon as possible your preferred playing position. If you think that you have two preferred positions, then let me know, and I will assign you to your second preferred position in the second camp.

I wish each one of you a happy and successful 2018

This is an advance notice regarding our Spartan 2018 Boys Soccer camp that will be held in two weeks: the weeks of June 18, and the week of July 23, 2018.

The camp will be open to all soccer athletes who will be in the 2018 eight to 12th grades. It will be held in the morning from 8:00 am to noon (Site to be determined). The fee for the camp is $100; this will cover the two weeks of camp activities. Scholarships will be available for those who need them.

For organizational purposes, you should let me know of your intention to attend the camp by the end of this month, January 2018. You can write to me at CFAbboud@gmail.com. The check covering the fee for the camp, addressed to "Mayo Boys Soccer", will need to be taken sometime in May to the Athletic Office.
