Monday-Top 12(Varsity, Mia and Isla) practice at RAC-7:30-9:00pm. Could only get 3 courts. 

Tuesday- (6) Individuals-Bus Load Time 6:15am Mayo Door 6. 98th st Lifetime Sports in Bloomington. Everyone else, day off. 

Wed-Practice everyone at Mayo 3:50-5:30pm

Thursday -Practice everyone at Mayo 10:00-11:30am. 

Friday-Day off if everyone promises to hit sometime over the weekend. 

Sunday-Banquet. More information later. 

Hello Mayo Tennis Family,

Wow, it's almost that time again. We are currently having REGISTRATION until Aug 6th on the Mayo Website. Please register at this time so we can get a count of how many players will be on the team this year. We also want to order uniforms by Aug 12th. 

Our Captains this year are the following players who have played for the Mayo Team for many years and are leaders who are committed to the tennis program. They will carry on the classy Spartan tradition! 

The three captains are:

*We will be having the PAC(Parents, Athletes, Coaches) Meeting on Aug 19th.  We may need to do a fundraiser this year or collect donations. The team will decide the first week what we should do. 

The current coaching staff will be Head Coach Jeff Demaray and Assistant Coach Brett Pauley. We are hoping to get a third coach if we hit 40 players or more. 

**The season starts on Aug 12th and the expectation is that all the players that have played or are vying for a varsity spot need to be there. We only have one week of practice before our match play starts(Aug 20). If you choose to go on vacation, this could jeopardize where you play on the team. You will miss match(es) depending on how many days you miss. The first week will be challenge matches. 

The PRACTICE SCHEDULE for the FIRST DAY ONLY will be as follows:

**FIRST DAY ONLY** 3:50-5:15pm-ALL New players and anybody not on the State Tournament Team(Top 16) from 2023. 

5:15-7:00pm-2023 State Tournament Team-We will be bringing players up from the first practice, so if you think you are lower varsity or high JV, you could play in both practices the first day. 

PRACTICE SCHEDULE REST OF FIRST WEEK:

Varsity and Top JV-3:50-5:45PM

Everyone else-5:30-7:00PM

**We WILL be bringing up the top players from Group 2 to Group 1 after the first practice and throughout the week. 

Please bring plenty of water and a towel.

2024 MAYO DOUBLES CAMP

Camp Philosophy: This camp is a great opportunity for any CURRENT or FUTURE(Going into 5th-12th Grade) Mayo Tennis Player(Boys or Girls) to improve their Doubles skills.

Camp Information: The camp will touch on all phases of the game of tennis, but a special emphasis will be given to the development of Doubles strategy and positioning. This camp is for most levels, including top varsity players to  intermediate players. This is not open to beginners or advanced beginners due to the fact that rallies need to take place in order to focus on doubles positioning.  Just want to emphasize that there will be drills that will help the very top varsity players as well as the B-Squad.   To reserve your spot, you must retain your sign-up sheet with your payment. All the current Mayo Boys and Girls players are above the advanced beginner level and are able to participate. 

Dates and Times: The tennis camp will run for 6 weeks and will start June 10th. The camp will meet Monday through Thursday. Fridays are make-up days in case of rain.(*see below). 3:30-5:30pm at the Mayo High School Courts.

***Please bring your own water this year. I will NOT be bringing water for everybody to drink.

If it rains during the week, an extra day will be added on Friday. If it rains more than once during the week, I will stay until 6:30pm on Friday.

There is a limit of 28 players per week due to court space.
